From humble beginnings in New Hampshire as the oldest of fourteen children, I developed a keen artistic eye at a very young age. Perhaps this deep love for art was inspired by my maternal grandfather who was an artist. For the last three decades, I have called Southern Indiana home. Through the years I have grown as an artist, producing scenic landscapes and florals. I particularly like watercolours since they dry quickly and are good for painting on location.
Hello Mr Pickering. I have in front of me right now an acrylic painting named Early Morn with a date on the back of Dec 30, 1971 painted by I believe you. It has the name Ellsworth Pickering on it with an address of The Artist’s Wall in Conway, NH. It is a painting of two barns on a gray winter day. Beautiful work. Wondering how old you were when you painted it.
Hello, Mrs. Rackleff. Thank you for your nice comment. In December of 1971, Ellsworth would have just turned 29.
Is Ellsworth still alive?
Yes, he is still alive and will be celebrating his 76th birthday on Friday.

Hello Ellsworth, I still treasure the painting you gave me for Christmas 1981 “after glow of Vermont 1979” along with the correspondence letters. I hope this finds you well. Rusty
Hi Ellsworth! This is Lorrie and Gregg Miller. We miss talking to you and hope you are doing ok. I know you don’t do this site yourself, but I was looking at my church painting in my bathroom tonight and thinking of you and the fun times we had over the years. You gave us that painting in 2001. Please know you are in our thoughts with fond memories. Hope to see you someday and visit. ❤️
